Herb Flavor Pairings & Our Favorite Herb Based Recipes

One of the best parts of growing your very own herb garden is that you have endless opportunities to try something new in the kitchen. Whether this means that you are taking up a new perspective on an old classic recipe, or trying something that you have never done before, having a garden full of fresh herbs at your fingertips is something you are certain to be endlessly thankful for.

As an ode to the fresh spring season that is now upon us, we wanted to share some of our very favorite herb based recipes with you. It is time to get inspired and put your garden’s growth to work.

Cooking with Herbs

One of the best things about cooking with herbs right from your garden is that you will always be enjoying them while they are fresh. Herbs are most potent and flavorful when they are just harvested; when you are bringing herbs home from the grocery store, they have been sitting for a long time, and often will not pack the same punch as herbs grown in your own garden.

Cooking with herbs also allows you much more creative freedom in the recipes that you choose to make. Once you have familiarized yourself with the flavors of each herb that you are growing, you will be at liberty to sprinkle in a touch of flavor in recipes that you never would have considered to add to before.
