This fresh lemon thyme herb butter recipe is a unique take on the compound butter. By adding savory lemon thyme and fresh lemon juice, you create a citrusy seasoning for chicken, fish, shrimp, or bread. Dinner rolls, cornbread, or artichokes will never be the same.
Herbs, Garlic, & Butter the heavenly combination.
PRO TIP: Try dipping your artichoke leaves into the lemon thyme butter! It’s divine.

kcalThis Lemon Thyme Herb Butter brings out the zest of the lemon with the savory thyme flavor mixed with no other than – Butter! Enjoy 🙂
1 stick butter
¼ cup fresh lemon Thyme, chopped
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Pinch of salt, pepper, chili powder
1 clove of garlic
To harvest, avoid cutting the stem at its base and pick the amount of thyme you need. You can use small garden shears or scissors to trim off about 1/3 of the oldest, woodiest part of the plant.
Try to avoid trimming the new growth. Trimming too much at one time will leave the plant bare and it can slow its growth and production.
When choosing which stems to harvest, try and find stems that will leave 3-4 inches of growth behind. This will encourage more fresh growth of your plant.
