Welcome to 2022!
This year holds the potential for you to be your happiest, healthiest, most holistic self. And Gardenuity wants to be with you as you take on the world.
Our new blog series, A Healthier You in 2022, highlights some of our best tips, tricks, and ideas for improving your life and wellbeing over the next twelve months. And as enthusiasm around New Year resolutions starts to fade, now’s the time to consider small, fun, and oh-so doable changes that can transform your routine–and your life.
For anyone looking to get (and stay!) hydrated in 2022, this blog is for you. Did you know that the average woman should be consuming around 2.7 liters of water per day and the average man around 3.7? No wonder many of us feel like we’re dehydrated! (Speaking of dehydration–one of the easiest ways to tell if you need to drink more is to think about the last time you were thirsty. If you haven’t been thirsty in a while, that, ironically, can signal that your body needs more).
If drinking the equivalent of a half-gallon of water per day sounds intimidating, we’re here to help. One of our favorite ways to ensure that we are getting the fluids we need is by adding fresh herbs to our water bottles. Aside from adding exciting, crave-able flavor, this method has the added bonus of getting us out in the garden each morning. After all, there’s nothing more delicious or nutritious than herbs straight from your own backyard.
Need some inspiration on how to have fun hydrating? We looked at what could be grown in our Sips and Dips Garden, a favorite for adding color and flavor to many of our favorite foods and drinks. Here are some of our favorite herb combinations to add a little pep to your sip.
Do you have a favorite herb to add to your water? How are you staying hydrated? We want to know! Snap a pic of your daily water bottle and post it to Instagram. Tag us for an opportunity to be featured on our page.
