Gin and Tonic Recipe | Fresh Lemon Verbena

A garden-inspired favorite, this refreshingly simple take on the gin and tonic classic is a year-round favorite. The aroma of the muddled Lemon Verbena leaves, mixed with the crisp flavor of the lime brings any gin to life. Putting a twist on a classic is always fun and adding freshly harvested herbs right from your kitchen garden surely makes this drink a little healthier, right?

Recipe Ingredients: (per serving)

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 1-3 Lime Wedges
  • 3-4 oz Tonic Water
  • 3-4 Lemon Verbena Leaves
  • Ice

How To:

  1. Fill your favorite glass with your favorite ice.  (Ours is Sonic crushed ice.
  2. In your cocktail shaker, combine the gin, Lemon Verbena Leaves, and ice.
  3. Use a muddler to gently crush the Lemon Verbena leaves.
  4. Then squeeze the lime wedges into the mixture, and shake well.

Pour into your favorite glass. Fill the glass to the top with tonic, and garnish with a lime and Lemon Verbena leaves.
