Ginger, lemon, and the slightest bit of sugar makes this a tasty and herbaceous simple syrup. Perfect for adding to cocktails, teas, or cakes.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ½ cup water

  • ½ cup lemon juice

  • 2 Tbsp ginger, peeled and chopped

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a large pot and bring to a boil on medium-high heat.
  • Reduce heat to a simmer. Let simmer for 7 minutes, stirring often.
  • Strain into a container. Discard ginger root.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 6 months.
