Chimichurri Sauce Recipe

One of our favorite ways to enjoy fresh parsley is to make a Chimichurri sauce. This Chimichurri Sauce is great on steaks, grilled vegetables, chicken, and tacos. It is simple to make and this Argentinian-inspired green sauce is fresh, tangly, and can be pulled together in under 10 minutes. The best part is being able to say “I grew this”.

What is Chimichurri?

Chimichurri is a traditional Argentine and Uruguayan sauce or marinade typically used for grilled meats. It is a vibrant, herbaceous sauce known for its fresh, tangy, and slightly spicy flavor profile.

This Chimichurri Sauce is great on steaks, grilled vegetables, chicken, and tacos. It is simple to make and this Argentinian-inspired green sauce is fresh, tangly, and can be pulled together in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup fresh Italian leaf parsley

  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano

  • 1 garlic glove chopped

  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

  • ⅓ cup of extra-virgin olive oil

  • ½ tsp fresh lemon

  • Red pepper flakes, fresh jalapenos, or tajin for heat and flavor

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Combine all the ingredients together into a food processor and pulse together.
  • Add more salt and pepper to taste.
  • Use it on tacos, chicken, fish, or grilled vegetables.

Notes

  • Keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.
