Celebrate

Valentine & Galentine Message from Donna Letier

Love is in the air! Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with someone special or Galentine’s Day with your best friends, this season is all about connection, appreciation, and joy. These celebrations remind us that love comes in many forms—romantic, platonic, and self-love.

And just like a garden, love thrives when nurtured with care, intention, and a little creativity.

A Lifetime of Valentines

Growing up, my dad always made Valentine’s Day feel special, promising to always be my Valentine—something that came in handy during those awkward high school years. Now, I get to see Scott do the same for our girls, making them feel truly loved and cherished.

Those small, heartfelt gestures remind me that Valentine’s Day isn’t just about romance—it’s about making the people in your life feel unconditionally loved.

“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.” – Audrey Hepburn

The Power of Female Friendships

Girls of any age know that our girlfriends are lifelines—new friends, old friends, and the ones who love us through every season of life. Galentine’s Day has become such a meaningful tradition because it celebrates the strength and beauty of female friendships.

These friendships offer support, laughter, and unwavering love. They remind us that we don’t walk through life alone—we walk hand in hand, lifting each other up along the way.

“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do. The women who support us in that journey—the ones who show up, stand beside us, and remind us that we are enough—are our true friends.” – Brené Brown

On this day that celebrates all kinds of love, I challenge you to call three people—a friend, a family member, or someone who has made a difference in your life. Let them know how much they mean to you. Then, ask them to do the same.

Imagine the ripple effect of love this could create—what a beautiful celebration of connection and kindness! Love will actually grow.

Love Thyself

Valentine’s Day is about celebrating love in all its forms—the love we give, the love we receive, and the love we show ourselves.

We spend so much energy making others feel special, but do we do the same for ourselves? This Valentine’s, give yourself the same kindness, patience, and appreciation that you so freely give to others.

And just like we prune a garden to make room for new growth, sometimes we need to prune things (and people) out of our lives that no longer serve us. Let this be the year you prioritize what nourishes your soul.

“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” – Buddha

Let’s Grow Love Together

Love is in our friendships that lift us up.
It’s in our families who bring us joy.
It’s in the small, everyday moments that make life beautiful.

This Valentine’s and Galentine’s Day, let’s celebrate by cultivating more moments of gratitude, connection, and self-care. Because at the end of the day, love grows best when we take the time to nurture it.
