This incredible cocktail recipe comes from Cayla Atha from Savvy Spoon. We love that it includes fresh juice while keeping a powerful kick.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Casamigos blanco tequila or similar

  • 1 oz. Grand Marnier or orange liquor

  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice

  • 1/4 cup fresh beet juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar

  • 1 small pinch of Himalayan sea salt or Maldon flakes

  • 4 thin slices of jalapeño

  • Orange slices for garnish

  • Cocktail shaker

  • Strainer

  • Cauldron & ladle for serving (optional)

  • Chilled glasses

Directions

  • Place all of your ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice
  • Shake your mixture vigorously for about thirty seconds
  • Using your strainer, pour into chilled cocktail glasses over ice
  • Garnish cocktails with jalapeño and orange slices!
  • Enjoy!

This recipe is a fantastic way to use up your blood-red beet harvest. Pair the earthy flavor of your beets with some bright citrus fruits and Casamigos Tequila, and you’ll have a match made in heaven.

Spice Up Your Life

If you’re looking for a cocktail that packs some heat, try muddling extra sliced jalapeños in your cocktail shaker before you add in the rest of the ingredients. If you really want to be on fire, consider adding a sprinkle of cayenne around the rim of your glasses.

You’ll also want to serve up some delightful snacks with this incredible cocktail. We always find that spice compliments spice; try whipping up some homemade salsa with fresh tomatoes and your late-fall garlic harvest. There’s nothing like finger foods, or “horrors devours”, to fit the theme of a Halloween Soirée!

If you’re loving this spicy cocktail creation, don’t forget to take a look at The Savvy Spoon to find more of Cayla’s innovative ideas and recipes.
