Nothing says summer like a creamy, refreshing, and healthy smoothie bowl. In case you have been living under a rock for the past decade, a smoothie bowl is pretty much exactly what it sounds like: a smoothie in a bowl.
Smoothie bowls have been all the rage for the past few years, and they aren’t going anywhere. Typically, these bountiful bowls consist of a smoothie of your choice, topped with fresh fruits, granola, nut, or seeds, and maybe a dollop of peanut or almond butter on top to tie it all together. Classic Acai Bowl
Ingredients:
- 7 oz. frozen açaí puree
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
- Almond milk or milk of choice
- Top with sliced fruit, granola, and a drizzle of honey or agave
Directions:
- Blend together açaí, banana, blueberries, strawberries, and almond milk until desired consistency.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with desired toppings.
Green Goddess Bowl
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup frozen mangoes
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- Large handful of spinach
- Almond milk or milk of choice
- Top with sliced fruit, granola, and a drizzle of honey or agave
Directions:
- Blend together banana, mangoes, pineapples, spinach, and almond milk until desired consistency.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with desired toppings.
Chocolate Nice-Cream Bowl
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen banana
- 3 dates, chopped
- 2 TBSP of cacao powder
- 2 TBSP of peanut butter
- Almond milk or milk of choice
- Top with sliced fruit, granola, chocolate chips or cacao nibs, and a drizzle of honey or agave
Directions:
- Blend together banana, dates, peanut butter, cacao powder, and almond milk until desired consistency.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with desired toppings.
Popeye’s Protein Bowl
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen banana
- Large handful of spinach
- 1 apple, chopped into cubes
- 2 TBSP of peanut butter
- Almond milk or milk of choice
- Top with sliced fruit, granola, chocolate chips or cacao nibs, and a drizzle of honey or agave

- Blend together banana, spinach, peanut butter, apples, and almond milk until desired consistency.
- Transfer to a bowl and top with desired toppings.
