Pick the fruits that make you happy. We chose bright, colorful summer fruits for the official recipe, but that’s not to say that you can’t use your favorites instead.
Shapes can make all the difference. If you’re feeling particularly ambitious, try shaping your fruits with a cookie cutter instead of a melon baller. Stars would be particularly cute for Memorial Day!
Wait until the last minute. This will taste best if it is thrown together right before it is set to be enjoyed. That said, it can also chill in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving if need be.

Ingredients
1-2 cups strawberries, quartered
1 cup blueberries
½ large watermelon, balled
1 cantaloupe, balled
2 Tbsp. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
2 Tbsp. fresh chopped mint
Directions
- Place all fruit into a large bowl. Cover with lemon juice and sprinkle with mint. Toss to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
