This Thank You Is for You

Every day, someone on our team shares a note from someone in the Gardenuity community.

A photo of something growing. A story about a garden that arrived at exactly the right time. A message about a workshop that brought a team together. Sometimes, simply a thank you.

This morning, we received a pretty special note of our own.

Gardenuity has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies for the second year in a row.

It is an incredible honor. But as I read the news this morning, my first thought wasn’t about the ranking.

It was about you.

Our name may be on the list, but this recognition belongs to you.

To every person who has planted a Gardenuity garden. To every company that has trusted us to bring a little more nature, connection, and humanity into the workday.

To everyone who has sent a garden to someone they love, joined one of our workshops, shared a photo, told a friend, placed another order, or simply believed—as we do—that something as small as planting a garden or watching an amaryllis bloom can make a meaningful difference in how we feel.

And to our extraordinary Gardenuity team. I can honestly say I have never worked alongside a group of people so passionately committed to what happens after a garden leaves our hands. They care about every garden, every bulb, every Grow Pro message—and, most importantly, every person on the other side of them.

And behind every great team are the people who make it possible for them to do what they do.

To the families behind our Gardenuity team: thank you. Thank you for being patient with the long days and late nights. For listening when an idea follows someone home. For encouraging us on the hard days and celebrating the good ones. Growing a company takes a village, and you are very much a part of ours.

Thank you is an interesting phrase. So is growth.

We tend to think of thank you as something we say after something has been given to us.

And we tend to think of growth as something we can measure.

But building Gardenuity has taught me that the two are more connected than I ever realized.

Gratitude has a way of changing what we see. It reminds us to stop measuring for a moment and appreciate what—and who—helped us grow.

Growth happens when people believe in an idea enough to participate in it.

When a customer comes back.

When someone tells a friend.

When a company invites us back for another workshop.

When someone sends us a picture of the first tomato they grew, the herbs on their patio, or an amaryllis blooming on their desk.

Those moments may not appear on an Inc. 5000 list, but they are exactly how we got there.

And maybe that is what I am most grateful for today.

Not simply that Gardenuity is growing.

But that we get to grow because of you.

When we started Gardenuity, we believed everyone should have access to the wellness benefits of gardening—even if they didn’t have a backyard, much time, or any idea where to begin.

We believe that even more today.

As technology moves faster and our lives become increasingly digital, the simple act of caring for something living matters more, not less.

So yes, this morning we are celebrating.

But mostly, we are saying thank you.

Thank you for inviting Gardenuity into your homes, onto your desks, into your companies, and into the moments that matter.

Thank you for believing in what we are building.

And most of all, thank you for helping us grow.
