3 Stunning Ways to Decorate with Herbs

Looking to use your extra herb harvest? Decorate with herbs!

Not only will you avoid wasting any fresh herbs from your garden, but you’ll also be adding a touch of beauty and excitement to your home. Here are 3 stunning ways to decorate with herbs.

We’ve used thyme, lavender, and basil in our examples, but almost any herb of your choice will work.

Thyme Bundles

Harvest fresh thyme and bundle it together in small bunches. They’ll dry out slowly and smell delicious throughout. These little bundles are the perfect touch to add some style and texture to your life.

Use a string to attach a name tag — you can use them as place cards or set them in your powder room as a divinely scented extra touch.

Lavender Décor

Nothing ruins the beautiful summer sun like insect bites. As a natural insect repellent, use lavender (or sage and mint) to keep the bugs at bay.

First, gather your herbs. Make sure they’re not wet at all or else they’ll mold. Then, cut a piece of string 4 feet long and cut herbs about 6 inches long (or less). Tie the string around the herbs, beginning at the top and looping around towards the bottom. Knot regularly to keep it secure.

Then, you can toss in the fire next to you or light in a dish. This will repel mosquitoes, smell divine, and look beautiful.

Basil Bouquets

Basil bouquets are one of our favorite ways to decorate with herbs. They’re beautiful, aromatic, and the perfect centerpiece for your dining or coffee table.

Harvest full basil sprigs and place in your favorite jars. Make sure to change out the water every few days. Your bouquet will last up to 10 days.
