They grace our TV screens, they walk the red carpet, they dominate magazine covers, and they experience exposure beyond our wildest dreams. They’re celebrities, and they’re just like us. She’s arguably the most influential woman that’s ever crossed your TV screen, and she loves gardening. Having been raised on a farm, Oprah values the life lessons one can learn in the garden. In fact, she’s transformed a dozen acres of her estate in Maui into an organic garden that produces over a hundred pounds of fresh vegetables, herbs, and fruit weekly. Gardening game, upped.

Julia Roberts

We love Julia for the lovable characters she plays on screens…not to mention her sustainable, solar-powered home in Malibu. On her land, she keeps up an incredible organic garden that she uses to help teach her children about food. To Julia, understanding how and where food comes from is an important part of raising a family.

Jake Gyllenhaal

An organic vegan and a growing activist, this celeb gardener is among our favorites. He’s currently involved in the Edible Schoolyard Project, a charity which understands that growing is part of a full education. It encourages kids to adopt healthy diets, grow veggies, and learn to cook.

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore has been in the spotlight since she was a small child, and no one can deny she deserves the acclaim. Thanks to Instagram, we know that she has a vegetable garden with her daughter Olive. Together, they happily grow carrots, beets, peppers, tomatoes, and more.

Prince Charles

Last, but certainly not least, we have Prince Charles — the royal gardener. He bought Highgrove House in 1980 and over time, he metamorphosed those barren grounds into 25 acres of beauty. He’s also advocates for organicism, saves old estate gardens across the UK, and actively speaks to youth about growing.

These are just 5 celeb growers amongst many. Who’s your favorite celebrity gardener?

These Celeb Gardeners say that gardening has helped them with gratitude. Check out this article that details how growing can grow gratitude!
